J-Hope, the 30-year-old K-pop sensation and member of BTS, has revealed an impressive roster of collaborators for his highly anticipated solo album, ‘Hope on the Street Vol.1’, a follow-up to his 2022 debut album, ‘Jack in the Box’.
Teaming up with his BTS bandmate Jungkook, J-Hope features on the track ‘i wonder’. The album also boasts collaborations with renowned artists such as Bad Bunny and funk legend Nile Rodgers on the track ‘lock/unlock’.
LE SSERAFIM’s Huh Yunjin joins J-Hope on ‘i don’t know’, while Gaeko and Yoon Mirae feature on ‘NEURON’. Additionally, fans can expect a dance remix of ‘what if…’ from ‘Jack in the Box’, featuring JINBO the SuperFreak, and a solo version of J-Hope’s J. Cole track ‘on the street’.
The six-track collection will be accompanied by a six-part docuseries, chronicling J-Hope’s dance journey and interactions with street dancers in Osaka, Paris, New York, Seoul, and Gwangju. Emphasizing dance as “the core of J-Hope’s artistic roots and identity,” a press release from BigHit Music outlined the significance of the docuseries in capturing J-Hope’s creative process.
The first episode of the docuseries is set to premiere on Prime Video on March 27, followed by subsequent episodes every Thursday and Friday. The album is slated for release on March 29.
Meanwhile, BTS fans can anticipate the group’s reunion in 2025. Initially announced during the band’s annual FESTA dinner in 2022, the members revealed plans for solo projects and military service. Reflecting on their individual endeavors, RM shared insights from a conversation with fellow member Suga, stating, “This is like a vacation,” emphasizing the importance of their solo activities as integral steps toward their eventual reunion in 2025.
