Renowned singer/actor Ben Platt has revealed an exciting upcoming concert residency at Broadway’s Palace Theatre to celebrate his upcoming album, Honeymind.
In a statement shared on Instagram, Ben, 30, expressed his immense excitement, drawing parallels to legendary performers like Liza Minnelli and Judy Garland. He shared, “Like my foremothers Liza and Judy before me, it is far beyond my wildest imagination to announce that I’ll be playing a 3-week concert residency at The Palace on Broadway.”
Ben, known for his role in “The Politician,” emphasized his gratitude for the theater community, saying, “I feel perpetually blessed to be part of the theatre community, and to have the opportunity to perform as myself and from my own perspective in this newly reopened, storied Broadway house is one of the greatest honors of my life.”
The concert series, titled “Ben Platt Live at the Palace,” will feature songs from his new album Honeymind, along with selections from his previous albums Sing to Me Instead and Reverie. Directed by Michael Arden, who collaborated with Ben on the Tony Award-winning revival of Parade in 2023, the show promises to deliver an unforgettable experience for fans.
“I can’t wait to introduce my new record Honeymind on the beautifully revived stage, along with some other songs and surprises,” Ben added.
The residency will comprise 18 shows, running from May 28 to June 15. Tickets are already on sale, including VIP options for fans to meet Ben after the show.
Ben’s first single from Honeymind was released recently, accompanied by a captivating music video. The full album is scheduled for release on May 31, adding to the anticipation surrounding the residency that promises to showcase Ben Platt’s extraordinary talent in a theatrical extravaganza.
