Billie Eilish, the 22-year-old Oscar-winning singer, thrilled fans on Monday with the announcement of her highly anticipated third full-length studio album, titled “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” set to debut on May 17.
Taking to Instagram, Billie shared the album’s cover art depicting her descending through an open door into the depths of the ocean, adding an air of mystery and anticipation to the reveal.
In her Instagram post, Billie exclaimed, “MY THIRD ALBUMMMMMMMMMMMMM COMES OUT MAY 17THHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHH,” expressing a mix of nerves and excitement about the upcoming release.
The “Ocean Eyes” sensation also disclosed that there would be no pre-release singles, opting instead to deliver the full album experience in one cohesive offering. “not doing singles i wanna give it to you all at once,” she explained in her post.
Billie Eilish, in collaboration with her brother and musical partner Finneas, expressed immense pride in their work, stating, “finneas and i truly could not be more proud of this album and we absolutely can’t wait for you to hear it,” signing off with a heartfelt declaration of love for her fans.
“Hit Me Hard and Soft” follows Billie’s critically acclaimed debut album “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” from 2019 and her 2021 release “Happier Than Ever,” adding another chapter to her evolving musical journey.
