BLACKPINK’s Lisa has forged a partnership with RCA Records for her upcoming solo endeavors.
The 27-year-old K-pop sensation’s newly established company, LLOUD, has finalized a deal with RCA Records, a major label under Sony Music, while retaining ownership of her creative works.
Expressing her enthusiasm, Lisa remarked in a statement to Variety, “I’m incredibly thrilled to be part of the RCA family, confident in their ability to propel my solo career to greater heights.”
RCA Records CEO Peter Edge and COO John Fleckenstein praised Lisa as “a versatile talent and an undeniable global presence.”
Lisa recently pledged to unveil a solo album in 2024, emphasizing her determination to do so.
The Thai star, known for her 2021 single album ‘Lalisa’, assured fans of a new release this year, urging them to “stay tuned.”
During a ‘Special Birthday Q and A with Lisa – 27 years around the sun’ event on LLOUD’s official YouTube channel, she hinted at her plans: “This year, no matter what, I want to release a new album. I’ve had more time to focus on myself this year. I’m eagerly looking forward to pursuing my desires. Stay tuned!”
In addition to her music ventures, Lisa is poised for her acting debut in ‘The White Lotus’. She has also teased collaborations with Rosalía and Tyla.
Rosalía, the ‘Water’ hitmaker, affirmed that she and Lisa are “definitely” collaborating in the future.
In an Instagram Story, Tyla shared a playful moment with Lisa while listening to ‘Art’ from Tyla’s debut album. She wrote, “Sweetest gorllll, played her some of my favorite songs on the album… Definitely a LISA x TYLA collab down the line.”
Confirming their collaboration plans, Tyla told Reuters, “We’ve discussed creating a song together, so it’s definitely happening.”
