Rock legend Jon Bon Jovi has opened up about his son Jake Bongiovi’s recent wedding to actress Millie Bobby Brown. The couple, Jake, 22, and Millie, 20, tied the knot earlier this month in a private ceremony.
“It was a very small family wedding, and the bride looked gorgeous. Jake is happy as can be, and yes, it’s true,” Jon, 62, shared on BBC’s The One Show. “They’re great; they are absolutely fantastic.”
While the young couple plans to host a larger celebration later this year, they are now legally married.
Jon Bon Jovi has previously expressed his admiration for his new daughter-in-law. “I’ve gotten to know Millie over the past year. She works really hard, and she and Jake will grow together in their own way,” he said. “It is an accelerated version of what I went through 40 years ago, and I think, with the support of family around them, they’re going to be great together.”
Jake and Millie began dating in 2021, with Jake proposing in 2023.
Jon also reflected on his own long-lasting marriage to Dorothea, Jake’s mother. The couple met in high school in 1980 and married in 1989. Despite acknowledging he “hasn’t been a saint” during their marriage, Jon emphasized the importance of maintaining their family life. “These are all the wonderful clichés of rock stardom,” he remarked. “It’s about never lying about having been a saint, but not being a fool enough to mess up the home life, either.”
