Renowned rapper Kanye West has firmly denied assault allegations made by his former personal assistant, Lauren Pisciotta. Pisciotta, 35, filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against West, 46, earlier this week, also accusing him of wrongful termination and breach of contract.
In a statement to TMZ, a legal representative for West, known professionally as Ye, dismissed the claims as baseless and announced plans to file a countersuit against Pisciotta. The representative alleged that Pisciotta had made sexual advances towards West to secure employment and other material benefits. When her advances were rejected, she allegedly resorted to blackmail and extortion.
“In response to these baseless allegations, Ye will be filing a lawsuit against Ms. Pisciotta, who actively pursued him sexually to coerce employment and other material benefits, then engaged in blackmail and extortion when her advances were rejected,” the representative stated.
The legal team further claimed that during her employment, Pisciotta had requested several luxury items, including Hermes Birkin bags and a Lamborghini sports car. When these requests were denied, Pisciotta allegedly threatened West.
“It is evident that Ms. Pisciotta leveraged her association with Ye and his company, and her proximity to him, to seek material gains, clout, and employment through inappropriate means,” the statement concluded.
