NASHVILLE – Post Malone has revealed that his new album, titled ‘F-1 Trillion,’ will be released on August 16. The 28-year-old rapper, whose real name is Austin Richard Post, announced the news on Instagram by sharing a photo of a billboard in Nashville, Tennessee. The billboard read, “The name of the new Post Malone album is ‘F-1 Trillion’.” Malone captioned the post: “‘Sup… F-1 Trillion August 16th.”
Currently, the ‘Sunflower’ rapper is making waves in the country music scene, having recently collaborated with Blake Shelton on the forthcoming track ‘Pour Me a Drink.’ The single is set to drop this Friday, June 21.
Malone, who has previously teamed up with Morgan Wallen on ‘I Had Some Help,’ Taylor Swift on ‘Fortnight’ from ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’ and Beyoncé on ‘Cowboy Carter,’ shared some lyrics from his new song: “Somebody pour me a drink, somebody bum me a smoke/ I’m ’bout to get on a buzz/ I’m ’bout to get on a roll … I’ve been breaking my back, just keepin’ up with the Joneses.”
Besides gearing up for his country track’s release, Malone has expressed admiration for Taylor Swift, with whom he worked on ‘Fortnight.’ On Instagram, he posted a photo of the two together, praising Swift as a “once in a lifetime talent.” He wrote, “I am floored by your heart and your mind, and I am beyond honored to have been asked to help you with your journey. I love you so much. Thank you Tay.”
Swift also shared her admiration for Malone, calling herself a “huge fan” of his work. Ahead of the release of ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ in April, she wrote on Instagram, “I’ve been such a huge fan of Post because of the writer he is, his musical experimentation, and those melodies he creates that just stick in your head forever. I got to witness that magic come to life first-hand when we worked together on ‘Fortnight’.”
