K-pop sensation NewJeans has stormed to the top of Oricon’s daily singles ranking with their debut Japanese single album, “Supernatural,” released on Friday.

The group has not only captivated Japanese fans but also made significant strides on major music charts in Korea and Japan. Their title track, “Supernatural,” swiftly claimed the number one spot on Japanese music platforms like Line Music and AWA, while also securing the 13th position on Melon’s Top 100 chart as of June 22.

NewJeans boasts an impressive presence on Melon’s Top 100, with a total of 10 songs charting, including their Korean singles “How Sweet” and “Bubble Gum,” which debuted at numbers 2 and 5 respectively following their release on May 24.

Further solidifying their global appeal, the music video for “Supernatural” ascended to the second spot on YouTube Music’s Global Daily Top Music Videos chart dated June 21.

The track “Supernatural” stands out as a nostalgic new jack swing piece, enriched by the creative input of pop icon Pharrell Williams, who contributed to its composition and lyrics.

In addition to the titular track, NewJeans’ inaugural Japanese single album includes “Right Now” as its Side B, along with instrumental versions of both “Supernatural” and “Right Now.”

Fans can anticipate an electrifying performance from NewJeans as they showcase their latest hits on TBS’ “CDTV Live! Live!” scheduled for Monday.
