Trafalgar Releasing is delighted to announce the phenomenal success of GHOST’s “RITE HERE RITE NOW,” which has set new records in the concert film genre. Between June 20 and 23, the unique feature-length concert and narrative film entered the worldwide Top 10 box office at No. 9, grossing an impressive $5.04 million globally from limited showtimes.
“RITE HERE RITE NOW” was screened in over 1,800 cinemas across 49 territories, blending never-before-seen 2023 concert footage of the GRAMMY award-winning rock band GHOST with a narrative storyline that continues plot threads from the band’s long-running Chapters series. The film was co-directed by GHOST’s Tobias Forge and Alex Ross Perry (known for “Her Smell”).
In North America, “RITE HERE RITE NOW” made history as the highest-grossing hard rock cinema event ever, entering the Top 10 with a cumulative total gross of $2.65 million. On June 20, the film grossed over $1.12 million, securing the No. 3 spot at the box office with a per-screen average of $1,492 across 755 theaters. It continued to perform strongly with over $238,000 on June 21 across 366 theaters, more than $1.03 million on June 22, ranking No. 7 with a per-screen average of $1,376 across 751 theaters, and an additional $257,000 on June 23 with a per-screen average of $718 across 358 theaters.
Internationally, the film also performed exceptionally well. In the UK and Ireland, it grossed $606,000, securing the No. 5 spot at the box office. In Germany, it achieved $332,000, ranking No. 3. Mexico saw a $326,000 gross, also placing at No. 5, while in Australia, it grossed $178,000, achieving the No. 6 position. Due to high demand, additional screenings have been scheduled in select markets for this and next week.

Additionally, “RITE HERE RITE NOW: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack,” mixed by Rich Costey, will be released worldwide on July 26 via Loma Vista Recordings. This 18-song soundtrack, complementing GHOST’s debut feature film, will be available in all formats (digital, CD, 2xLP).
