George Strait, renowned country music artist and native of Poteet, Texas, will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as part of the Class of 2025, following a historic concert at Kyle Field.

Earlier this month, Strait performed alongside two other artists to a record-breaking audience of 110,905 fans at Kyle Field, setting a new U.S. record for the largest ticketed concert. This surpassed the previous record held by the Grateful Dead since their 1977 concert at Raceway Park in New Jersey. Notably, it marked Strait’s first performance on the Kyle Field stage, where he enthusiastically engaged with the audience, exclaiming, “We got some Aggies out there? Oh yeah! I’m ashamed to say this, but this is my first time to ever be in Kyle Field. Damn! Just invite me back!”

Strait’s musical achievements extend far beyond live performances. He holds unparalleled records in country music history, including the most number-one albums and singles, as well as the highest counts of gold, platinum, and multiplatinum albums. His discography boasts an impressive 40 gold albums, 33 platinum albums, and 13 multiplatinum albums.

The forthcoming induction onto the Hollywood Walk of Fame solidifies George Strait’s legacy as an enduring figure in country music, honoring his significant contributions to the genre and his impact on audiences worldwide.
