Country music’s acclaimed trio, Midland, has unveiled their latest single, “Lucky Sometimes,” accompanied by a music video, setting the stage for their upcoming album ‘Barely Blue’ slated for release on September 20th across all streaming platforms.

Lead vocalist Mark Wystrach describes “Lucky Sometimes” as a vibrant summer anthem, ideal for moments of unstoppable optimism. “The song is a high-energy, feel-good anthem that captures the essence of a hot streak,” Wystrach explains. “With its sparse arrangement and soaring harmonies, it sets the tone for the album and reflects the new sonic direction guided by producer Dave Cobb.”

Cobb, known for his work with country icons like Jason Isbell and Chris Stapleton, is recognized for producing hits such as “Tennessee Whiskey.” His collaboration with Midland underscores the band’s ambition to elevate their sound. “Dave Cobb’s eclectic musical background and approach to recording as an experience rather than a task made him the perfect fit for us,” Wystrach adds. “On ‘Barely Blue,’ he helped us achieve the sound we’ve been searching for.”
