Country music enthusiasts are gearing up for the inaugural Country Backroad Musical Festival, set to kick off at Ol’ MacDonal’s Farm and Barnes Acres this week.
Starting July 4, attendees can immerse themselves in a variety of activities including cornhole tournaments, bounce houses, water sports, a petting zoo, and a fishing derby.
The main attraction unfolds on July 5 and 6, with performances by 13 country music artists and bands. Among the lineup are acclaimed acts like Blane Howard of Chiefs’ fame and Ruby Leigh, a finalist from The Voice.
Event Organizer Katie Barnes expressed her excitement, saying, “We are just hoping that people come out here and have a good time and get to be outside and enjoy some family time, meet some new friends and get to hear some really good music.”
Barnes emphasized the festival’s commitment to family-friendly entertainment, promising that this year’s event is just the beginning. “We love family-friendly activities out here,” she added. “And so we wanted to give people something fun to do out here as an affordable little getaway … close to home and bringing people into St. Joe and Savannah and hopefully having a good time together.”
In addition to the array of activities and live performances, attendees can explore food, drinks, and shopping options provided by various vendors.
Tickets for adults are priced at $75, while children aged 12 and under can enter for free.
