Portland country musician Rose Gerber is set to unveil her latest EP, “Untraveled Highway,” on July 5th, marking a deeply personal journey through introspection and the passage of time.
The forthcoming songs delve into themes of self-confrontation and grappling with life’s transitions. “These songs were initially a means of processing personal grief and challenges,” Gerber explains. “As I approach the latter half of life, they reflect a contemplative gaze backward rather than forward.”
Now 44 years old, Gerber traces her affinity for classic country music back to a serendipitous road trip that led her to Portland 16 years ago. Her musical journey and love for the genre unfolded unexpectedly, shaping her distinctive sound and storytelling style.
