Country music artist Zach Bryan has publicly thanked Bruce Springsteen, his musical idol, for their collaboration on Bryan’s latest album, The Great American Bar Scene. Released on July 4 under Warner Records, the 19-track album features Springsteen joining Bryan on the track “Sandpaper.”
Taking to social media on Thursday, the 28-year-old Bryan expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Springsteen, sharing a photo of them together. “Thank you for the day @springsteen. Thank you for your kind words. Thank you for letting me take this picture,” Bryan captioned the post. “Thank you for making my whole life a dream of a younger me. A reason to believe.”
Fans familiar with Springsteen’s iconic sound will recognize the familiar beat of “Sandpaper,” reminiscent of his 1984 hit “I’m on Fire,” adding a nostalgic touch to Bryan’s album.
The Great American Bar Scene includes 18 additional songs and a poem, featuring preview releases such as “Pink Skies” and “Purple Gas.” A double vinyl version of the album is scheduled for release on October 10.
In response to Bryan’s album release, fellow musician John Mayer, who collaborates with Bryan on the track “Better Days,” praised the country star on social media, underscoring the album’s resonance within the music community.
