Savannah recently hosted the Country Backroads Music Festival, a lively event that brought together country music fans for a day of live performances and family-friendly activities. The festival featured a diverse lineup of country artists and bands, who entertained the crowd with a mix of original songs and beloved classics.
Attendees had the opportunity to explore a variety of food trucks and vendors, while children enjoyed activities such as bouncy houses, inflatables, and a petting zoo.
Shaylee Beers, both an attendee and a vendor, expressed her enthusiasm for the festival, particularly praising the musical performances. “Ruby Leigh was very good. She integrated with everyone on stage. Everyone, including the people walking around, have been extremely nice,” Beers noted.
Beers also appreciated the range of activities and vendors available at the festival. “I really like the kids’ zones though, as a mom, I really like it,” she said. “My favorite is a food booth down there that does sack and save chili dogs. I’m a South End girl in Saint Joe, so definitely a staple.”
Reflecting on the festival’s impact, Beers emphasized the sense of community it fostered. “In this area of Missouri, we don’t really get many festivals like this anymore. Since we no longer have Charles West,” she remarked. Beers highlighted the festival’s role in bringing people together through their shared love of country music.
