Country artist Tim Montana has returned to his rock and roll roots with the release of his latest album, “Savage,” following his debut in the genre with the 2023 single “Devil You Know.”
Having spent a decade honing his skills in Nashville’s country scene, Montana’s passion for rock music has always been at the core of his artistic journey. Encouraged by the positive reception to “Devil You Know,” Montana swiftly transitioned to writing and recording music that resonated with his rock influences.
Describing the album’s creation as a rapid yet exhilarating process, Montana revealed, “It was a rush process. ‘Devil You Know’ gained traction, and we dove headfirst into ‘Savage,’ completing it swiftly over the holidays and adding final touches in January. I’m thrilled with the outcome. We had a great time.”
“Savage” arrives at a pivotal moment for Montana, providing him with an opportunity to explore his rock inspirations more deeply. Despite earlier career successes, such as appearing on “The Late Show With David Letterman” and forming connections with rock legends like Dave Grohl and Billy Gibbons, Montana felt compelled to return to his musical roots.
“I was feeling disconnected from that scene,” Montana admitted. “I’ve always had friends in Nashville who, despite their ties to country music, share a profound love for rock and roll. These are the guys who helped bring ‘Savage’ to life.”
Among Montana’s collaborators on the album are prominent Nashville songwriters Erik Dylan and Nathan Barlowe, along with producer Micah Wilshire, who played a crucial role in steering Montana’s artistic direction away from traditional country motifs.
With “Savage,” Tim Montana not only reaffirms his musical versatility but also celebrates his enduring passion for rock music, marking a significant chapter in his evolving career.
