Country music star Kane Brown made a special visit to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County during MLB All-Star Week, where Major League Baseball and the Texas Rangers unveiled significant upgrades as part of the MLB Together All-Star Legacy initiative.
On Saturday morning, children from the North Fort Worth branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs had the unique opportunity to interact with Brown. The event showcased refurbished facilities, including a newly renovated sports court, redesigned teen spaces featuring STEAM and workforce development areas, and a revamped music studio donated by Brown himself.
During the visit, 15-year-old Preston enthusiastically showcased his drumming skills, which he developed under the guidance of his music teacher, Mr. Jacob. He also explored the newly equipped music studio, expressing his aspirations in music and engineering.
“I can see myself pursuing music,” said Preston, who performed “Believer” by Imagine Dragons for Brown. “I’m currently studying engineering, but maybe one day I could build a music room myself. This is a great start, more than a good start—it’s a wonderful example.”
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County’s North Fort Worth branch serves nearly 3,000 youth annually and has been a cornerstone of community support since its establishment in 1935. The improvements unveiled during the event underscore a commitment to enhancing resources and opportunities for local youth through collaborative efforts between MLB, the Rangers, and dedicated supporters like Kane Brown.
