HARDY brought an electrifying conclusion to Country Concert 2024 with a high-energy show featuring dazzling lights, smoke, and pyrotechnics at Hickory Hill Lakes in Fort Loramie on Saturday night, July 13.
Headlining the evening following Bailey Zimmerman, Clint Black, Warren Zeiders, and Sara Evans on the main stage, HARDY captivated the audience, prompting waves of fans to jump to the rhythm of his music. Attendees traveled from across the country, as well as from various parts of Ohio and Fort Loramie itself, to witness his dynamic performance.
Keegan Lambert of Wellstown, Jackson County, expressed his enthusiasm for HARDY’s performance, having made the journey with his friend Robert Bryant from Jackson. “We saw them both before, and if you ever saw HARDY perform—so, when I saw HARDY was on the lineup, I said ‘OK, we are coming back,'” Lambert shared, highlighting their dedication to experiencing the event.
Bryan Penny of Piqua, a veteran attendee of over 20 years, joined by friends who camped out for the entire weekend, described Country Concert as “one big party.” His friend Matt Kiser from Fort Loramie echoed the sentiment, noting the camaraderie and festive atmosphere among attendees.
Despite the sweltering heat in the upper 80s, Andrea Vandervort from West Milton, who has attended with a group of friends for more than two decades, praised the event’s enjoyable atmosphere. She reminisced about past amenities like a water spritzer and wondered about its absence this year.
Former Shelby County Sheriff John Lenhart, now serving as a law enforcement liaison, remarked on the smooth operations of the event, which he has attended since its inception in 1981. Lenhart highlighted the event’s organization and minimal issues, noting his role in public relations for Hickory Hills and the live-streaming of this year’s concert.
