The Von Braun Center’s Propst Arena will host a special televised tribute event honoring Country Music Hall of Fame member Dean Dillon.
Scheduled for Wednesday, October 9, “Songs and Stories of Dean Dillon” will feature performances by some of country music’s biggest stars, celebrating Dillon’s prolific career as a singer-songwriter. The concert, set to be filmed for a later television broadcast, promises an evening of musical homage to Dillon’s timeless contributions to the genre.
Tickets for the event will go on sale to the public on Thursday, July 18, starting at 10 a.m. They can be purchased at the VBC Box Office or online via Ticketmaster.com, with prices starting at $125. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the concert will commence at 7 p.m.
The lineup includes an impressive array of artists who will perform songs either written or co-written by Dillon, which have been made famous by country legends such as Toby Keith, Vern Gosdin, Waylon Jennings, and Keith Whitley. Additionally, some performers will showcase songs that Dillon penned, which became hits in their own careers.
Confirmed artists for the tribute show include Dean Dillon himself, along with George Strait, Vince Gill, Ronnie Dunn, Riley Green, Justin Moore, ERNEST, Larry Fleet, Jamey Johnson, Pam Tillis, Zach Top, Mark Chesnutt, Billy Currington, Gramps Morgan, Due West, and more.
Dillon, a three-time Grammy nominee and renowned for his 26 number-one singles as a songwriter, was named Billboard’s Country Artist of the Year in 1985, solidifying his place as a pivotal figure in country music history.
