Jason Aldean, the country music sensation, continues his tradition of summer tours as he arrives in Colorado Springs for a performance at Weidner Field this Friday. Since his rise in 2005, Aldean has consistently headlined amphitheater shows across the nation, and he remains enthusiastic about live performances.

“Playing live has always been my favorite part,” Aldean remarked. “I’m not the kind of guy who loves to stay in the studio all the time. When we cut an album, I want to get in, get it done, and then hit the road.”

Despite his love for touring, Aldean has not neglected his recording career. Over the past five years, he has released five albums, with his latest, Highway Desperado, coming out last year. For this album, Aldean took a more hands-on approach, co-writing three of the tracks.

The decision to co-write was influenced by his band members, Kurt Allison and Tully Kennedy, who contributed significantly to Highway Desperado. The album includes the notable lead single “Try That in a Small Town,” which has generated considerable discussion.

Aldean’s dedication to both his live shows and his music-making process underscores his ongoing commitment to country music.
