Country music artist Brooke Moriber is set to release her evocative new single, “So Do I,” on Friday, July 19th. Co-written by Moriber, Jessica Cayne, and Karen Kosowski, the song explores themes of regret and longing following a breakup, capturing the emotional turbulence of missing someone who is no longer in your life.
The poignant lyrics reflect this sentiment:
When I’m drivin’ down the interstate / Or dancing in a crowded room / And I hear your name / In the kitchen with the radio on / And they’re playing our favorite song / I go back to that summer night…
Produced by Kosowski and mixed by Craig Alvin, “So Do I” features the instrumental contributions of Sol Littlefield (electric guitars), Marc Rogers (bass), Justin Schipper (steel guitar), Chad Cromwell (drums), and Nathan Chapman (acoustic guitar, resonator guitar, banjo). The track was engineered at Addiction Sound Studios and The Holodeck South in Nashville.
In addition to her new single, Moriber will be hosting and performing at the next installment of “Nashville in New York” (NINY) on Saturday, July 20th. The event, held at the iconic Bitter End on Bleecker Street, will celebrate Women in Country with performances by Callista Clark, Emily Shackelton, Averie Bielski, and Claire Wyndham, with Kelly Ford as the special guest M.C.
