Brian Kelley, one-half of the renowned country duo Florida Georgia Line, has announced his new solo single, “Make America Great Again.” Inspired by former President Donald Trump’s signature campaign slogan, Kelley unveiled the song during a performance at the 2024 Republican National Convention, accompanied by the Holy Redeemer Church of God in Christ Choir.
In a heartfelt Instagram post on Friday, Kelley explained the motivation behind the song. He revealed that he wrote it on July 7, shortly after the failed assassination attempt on Donald Trump. “As a concerned, real American, I felt the need to express my feelings through music,” Kelley shared. “I do not pander, and I will never waver. I’m proud to honor my voice and give a voice and anthem to those who feel the exact same way.”
Kelley urged people to join him in standing up for their beliefs while emphasizing the importance of respect, regardless of political stance. “No matter what side you fall on or if you’re in the middle, let’s be respectful,” he added.
Kelley, who spent over a decade as part of Florida Georgia Line, is now making a solo mark with this politically charged anthem.
