Ella Langley and Riley Green have claimed the top spot on the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart for the week of July 12-18 with their viral collaboration, “You Look Like You Love Me.” The track, which channels classic country vibes reminiscent of George Jones and Tammy Wynette’s duets, will feature on Langley’s highly anticipated album hungover, set for release on August 2.
Originally conceived as a light-hearted joke, Langley was persuaded by her label to include the track on her album. Speaking to Holler ahead of their joint performance at BST Hyde Park 2024, Green shared that the collaboration came together organically while on tour. He added, “I wrote a second verse for it. It’s just a really fun song. She does a great job with it.”
The song has garnered 761,780 impressions this week, marking a 67% increase from the previous period.
Following Langley and Green’s duet on the chart is Lainey Wilson’s energetic single, “Hang Tight Honey,” which holds the No. 2 spot. This track will be featured on Wilson’s upcoming album Whirlwind, due on August 23.
The top five of this week’s UK Country Radio Airplay Chart is rounded out by Post Malone and Blake Shelton’s “Pour Me a Drink” at No. 3, Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” at No. 4, and Luke Combs’ “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma” at No. 5. Parmalee’s “Gonna Love You” saw the most significant increase, with a 308% boost in impressions, pushing it into the Top 30.
