The Dam Jam Music Festival has embarked on a new chapter at its new location in Goddard, drawing thousands of enthusiastic concertgoers for a two-day celebration. Dubbed the largest summer party in Kansas, the festival offers attendees the chance to discover a diverse range of artists, many of whom are not widely known.

Festival attendee Lee Gareto praised the event’s variety, noting, “There’s a lot of artists that just end up here in the Midwest; we’ve been able to see a whole big variety of different people. It’s been really good.”

The festival’s relocation from Lake Afton to Goddard was driven by safety concerns, and attendees have expressed satisfaction with the new venue. Hollie Gorben noted the comprehensive security measures, stating, “They have lots of officers and firefighters and security patrolling all the time. It’s very open, and I think having it at a private location gives it a unique vibe.”

The festival’s relaxed atmosphere has resonated with visitors. Gareto highlighted the friendly environment, saying, “We’ve been to some bigger concert venues; here it’s just really laid back. Everybody’s really nice.”

The positive experience has already sparked excitement for next year, with Gorben revealing, “We’ve actually started talking about buying tickets for next year and doing this up more often because it is fun.”
