(Hed) P.E., the pioneering band from Huntington Beach, California, is gearing up for an extensive summer and fall tour to promote their latest studio album, “DETOX.” Founded in 1994 by frontman Jahred Gomes, (Hed) P.E. has carved out a unique niche by blending the region’s punk rock roots with G-funk-inflected hip-hop, a genre they’ve coined as “G-punk.”
The band achieved mainstream success in the early 2000s with their second and third albums, “Broke” and “Blackout.” Their latest release, “DETOX,” debuted at #1 on Apple iTunes in 2023. Recorded at frontman Jared Gomes’ private studio compound, the album features additional production and songwriting collaborations with Remy Dovianus and was expertly mixed and mastered by Ulrich Wild, renowned for his work with bands like Pantera, Deftones, and Static-X.
The tour commences on August 10th at Franklin Farms in Snohomish, WA, and spans a wide array of venues across the United States, including notable stops such as The Machine Shop in Flint, MI, and the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, CA on October 13th.
“We’re thrilled to hit the road and bring our new music to our fans,” says Jahred Gomes. “This album represents a new chapter for (Hed) P.E., and we can’t wait to rock out with everyone.”
