Interscope Records is set to release the highly anticipated ZOO TV – Live In Dublin 1993 EP on Friday, August 30. This new EP features five tracks from U2’s renowned performances at the RDS Arena in Dublin in August 1993. The shows were part of the European leg of the band’s groundbreaking ZOO TV Tour, which was a significant highlight of their 1991 album Achtung Baby tour. This marks the first official release of these iconic performances, which have been long coveted by fans and collectors due to their previous circulation as bootlegs.
The ZOO TV Tour, which spanned from February 1992 to December 1993, supported U2’s acclaimed Achtung Baby and saw the band perform to an audience of 5.3 million across 157 shows and five legs. During this period, U2 also recorded and released their eighth studio album, Zooropa. Notably, the August 28, 1993, show in Dublin was broadcast live to an estimated 700 million listeners worldwide, exemplifying the tour’s innovative approach to live performance with its “Watch More Radio” initiative.
