The Sandy and John Black Pavilion at Ole Miss will kick off a weekend of football excitement with a special concert featuring country music star Brett Young on August 30. The show, set to begin at 7 p.m., will also include performances by fellow country artist Josh Kelley and 90s country band Mustache the Band.

Brett Young, who pitched for the Ole Miss Rebels in 2000, has transitioned from baseball to a successful music career. His self-titled debut EP launched in 2016, featuring the hit single “Sleep Without You,” and was followed by the successful “In Case You Didn’t Know.” His second major album, Ticket to L.A., debuted in 2018, and in April 2020, he released “Lady,” a tribute to his wife and daughter. This single topped the Country Airplay chart in April 2021 and is part of his third studio album, Weekends Look a Little Different These Days, released in June 2021.

The concert will set the stage for the Ole Miss Rebels’ home football game against Furman, creating a vibrant lead-up to the weekend’s sports festivities.
