Cardi B has vehemently condemned 2024 Presidential hopeful Donald Trump for his recent statements advocating police immunity, following the tragic shooting of Sonya Massey in her own home.
The 31-year-old rapper, known for her outspoken views, expressed outrage after Trump’s remarks at a rally in Waukesha, Wisconsin, where he asserted, “I want to give immunity to police to do their job. I’m giving federal immunity to police officers so they can do their job.”
Trump’s comments come in the wake of disturbing footage showing the fatal shooting of American citizen Sonya Massey by police officers in her residence. Massey had called authorities believing her home was under threat, only to be fatally shot by an officer.
Reposting a clip of Trump’s speech on social media, Cardi B added a caption expressing her anger, stating, “AFTER WATCHING SONYA MASSEY GET KILLED IN 4K …..just wow …he never changed.”
Cardi B has emerged as a vocal critic of Trump, consistently expressing her opposition to his policies online. She has also voiced her support for current Vice President Kamala Harris, who is now running for the White House on the Democratic Party ticket.
Meanwhile, Trump, at 59 years old, remains a key figure for the Republican Party in the upcoming presidential election, following President Joe Biden’s decision not to seek re-election amid criticism over his communication abilities.
The controversy surrounding Trump’s stance on police immunity continues to draw widespread attention and debate across political and social spheres, underscoring ongoing concerns over law enforcement accountability and justice.
