Rock band Four Year Strong is set to embark on a new chapter this Fall with the announcement of their U.S. Headline Tour. The tour will commence on October 30, 2024, and will span a month, featuring performances in cities across the country. Joining them on this tour are special guests Free Throw, One Step Closer, and Death Lens. Tickets for the tour will be available for purchase starting this Friday, August 2, at 12 p.m. local time.
This announcement follows the band’s recent summer tour alongside A Day To Remember and The Story So Far. Four Year Strong is also gearing up for the release of their latest album, analysis paralysis, which is slated for release on August 9 through Pure Noise Records. Fans can anticipate hearing live renditions of new tracks, including recent singles “bad habit,” “aftermath/afterthought,” “uncooked,” and “daddy of mine.”
During the recording sessions for analysis paralysis, Four Year Strong faced a unique challenge. Vocalists and guitarists Dan O’Connor and Alan Day arrived at producer Will Putney’s studio with no completed songs, a stark contrast to the extensive collection of ideas they had prepared for their previous album, Brain Pain. The early days of recording were spent in Putney’s home studio, where the band revisited their musical roots and explored what had made their previous work successful.
The resulting album showcases an evolution of their signature sound, combining pop-punk energy, intricate guitar work, and hardcore elements. The new record features a variety of styles, from the metal-infused “aftermath/afterthought” to the reggae-influenced “out of touch” and the synth-heavy “STFIL.” Despite these innovations, the album remains true to Four Year Strong’s core identity, driven by O’Connor and Day’s distinct vocals and the solid rhythm section of drummer Jake Massucco and bassist Joe Weiss.
