Ozzy Osbourne has extended an apology to Britney Spears after facing backlash for his remarks on her dance style. The Black Sabbath frontman, speaking on his family’s podcast “The Osbournes,” had previously described Spears’ dance videos as “very sad,” sparking a reaction from the pop icon herself.
In response to Ozzy’s comments, Britney Spears took to Instagram, urging him not to pass judgment and instead promote mutual support and growth. Addressing the issue on a recent episode of “The Osbournes,” Ozzy expressed regret over his earlier statement, directly addressing Britney: “Britney, I really owe you an apology. I’m so sorry for making that comment.”
However, while attempting to mend fences, Ozzy also suggested, “However, it would be better if you didn’t do the same f**king dance every day…Change a few movements.” His daughter Kelly Osbourne, on the same platform, encouraged Britney to continue sharing her dance routines, affirming, “Britney, never stop dancing, I love your dancing. It makes you happy.”
The conversation continued with Ozzy’s wife Sharon Osbourne chiming in positively about Britney, emphasizing her admiration: “Listen, I like Britney.” Ozzy Osbourne reiterated his affection for the pop star despite the criticism, asserting, “I love Britney Spears! But it’s the same dance every day.”
Despite the attempt at reconciliation, Britney Spears, 42, has not yet responded to Ozzy’s latest remarks on the matter.
