Usher is set to release a highly anticipated concert film, Usher: Rendezvous in Paris, on September 12, 2024. The film, which captures the essence of his recent Paris residency, will have a limited theatrical run in cinemas worldwide.
Filmed during his eight-show residency at La Seine Musicale in Paris Fashion Week 2023, Rendezvous in Paris offers an intimate look at Usher’s life and performance artistry. The film will feature some of his greatest hits, including “Yeah” and “Love In This Club.”
On Instagram, Usher shared his excitement about the release, stating, “USHER: RENDEZVOUS IN PARIS is coming to cinemas WORLDWIDE Sept 12 – 15. It was a gift to perform in the City of Lights and I can’t wait to share that gift with you.”
Directed by Anthony Mandler, the concert film will be shown in 2,000 theaters around the globe. Usher expressed that performing in Paris was a memorable experience, both personally and for his fans. “Paris was a special experience for me as an entertainer and for my fans. I hope those who weren’t able to attend in person get to feel the magic of the performance. For those who were there, I hope you see the show through a different lens.”
In addition to the film, Usher is gearing up for his Usher: Past Present Future tour, which will begin in Atlanta, Georgia, on August 14, 2024.
