In Dime We Trust proudly introduces Blacktooth Beverages, a new liquor brand founded by Rita Haney, trustee and widow of the late legendary guitarist Dimebag Darrell of Pantera and Damageplan fame. This female-owned and -led venture aims to celebrate Dimebag Darrell’s enduring spirit with a range of premium handcrafted beverages. The launch includes Blacktooth American Rye Whiskey, Blacktooth Blended, and Blacktooth Grin Ready-To-Drink cocktails (available in Leaded and Unleaded varieties).
The flagship offering, Blacktooth American Rye Whiskey, is a seven-year aged rye blended with pure artesian spring water sourced from the Rocky Mountains. Also available is Blacktooth Blended, a wallet-friendly blend of the American Rye whiskey and ultra-smooth vodka, priced at $33 to honor Dimebag’s affinity for the number three. Paying homage to Dimebag’s favorite drink concoction, Blacktooth Grin combines Blacktooth Blended with cola in both sugared (“Leaded”) and sugar-free (“Unleaded”) versions.
Reflecting on the inception of Blacktooth Beverages, Rita Haney shared, “Darrell always wanted his own whiskey; we discussed it often. His ideas and sketches were a part of our conversations. BlackTooth was a goal he always wanted to achieve. Dime was about unity, whether through music or enjoying good cocktails. He loved to have a great time! This whiskey truly embodies his essence—the ‘Getcha Pull’ attitude, enjoying life to the fullest.”
The team behind Blacktooth Beverages includes industry veterans such as Walt Kerpa, CEO of Distilled Spirits USA, Inc., and Jordan Kerpa, Master Distiller and Head of Operations. They are joined by Brent Hamilton, former Marketing Executive for major energy drink brands, who serves as Director of Operations. Together, they are committed to realizing Dimebag’s vision and honoring his legacy through Blacktooth Beverages.
The launch will be commemorated with a special event on August 20th at the Rainbow Bar & Grill in West Hollywood, CA, coinciding with Dimebag’s birthday. Rita Haney will personally introduce the new line of Blacktooth Beverages, with guest bartenders and a “Dimebag Experience” pop-up featuring his guitars, personal effects, and exclusive merchandise. The event will also include live broadcasts by SIRIUS XM’s Jose Mangin and a performance by rock group OF LIMBO.
