The King Dunn Tour, featuring Melvins’ King Buzzo and Mr. Bungle’s Trevor Dunn, launches last night, August 1, at Pappy & Harriet’s in California’s High Desert. This 45-date U.S. tour will see the duo traverse the country, blending their distinctive styles in a series of live performances.
Ahead of the tour’s debut, Buzzo and Dunn have unveiled a special cover of the Dicks’ classic track “Sidewalk Begging.” This exclusive release is available only as a tour-specific flexi-disc, accompanied by a gritty black-and-white video created by Jesse Nieminen.
“The Dicks were one of the best bands ever, and it was sad hearing of Gary Floyd’s passing,” said King Buzzo. “‘Sidewalk Begging’ was recorded completely live in one take!”
