Orville Peck, a rising star in country music, has solidified his unique presence in the genre with the release of his third album, Stampede. Following the earlier teaser EP, Stampede Vol. 1, the full album has now arrived, showcasing Peck’s innovative approach to country music.
Stampede lives up to its name by featuring an array of high-profile collaborations across its 15 tracks. The album includes notable duets with country legends and artists from various genres. Among the standout tracks is “Cowboys Are Frequently Secretly Fond of Each Other,” a collaboration with Willie Nelson, and a rendition of Elton John’s classic “Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting).” Peck also partners with contemporary country stars like Mickey Guyton on “Where Are We Now?” and Molly Tuttle on “Papa Was a Rodeo.” The album also ventures into new territory with a groove-filled track alongside Kylie Minogue and Diplo on “Midnight Ride” and features a Spanish-language song, “Miénteme.”
