Rapper T.I., whose real name is Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., was mistakenly arrested at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Sunday night. According to TMZ, T.I. was taken to Clayton County Jail following the arrest.
His attorney, Steve Sadow, later confirmed that the arrest was a case of mistaken identity. The confusion arose because T.I. was misidentified as another individual named Clifford Harris, who is wanted in Baltimore, Maryland, on charges related to alleged stalking and violent behavior.
Due to the warrant being issued in a different state, an automatic extradition hearing was triggered. However, T.I. was released from jail within two hours, and a judge subsequently dismissed the extradition order.
T.I. has yet to comment on the incident.
