The Weeknd has shared a chilling new trailer for his upcoming music, featuring a haunting animated scene of a small boy seemingly abandoned in a storm outside an empty house. The clip, which includes a snippet of the singer’s lyrics, “I’ve been losing my memories,” was posted on social media with the caption: “unprepared certainty…”

The trailer is accompanied by a quote from German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, “When you gaze long enough into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you…” and includes an epilepsy warning due to flashing imagery.

This trailer precedes The Weeknd’s one-off concert in São Paulo, Brazil, set for September 7 at the Estádio Morumbi. The performance will showcase a new production distinct from his previous ‘After Hours Til Dawn Tour’ of 2022 and 2023. Ticket prices include a $1 donation to The Weeknd’s XO Humanitarian Fund, which supports those in poverty in partnership with the United Nations.

The artist, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, is also teasing his third album in the ‘After Hours’/’Dawn FM’ trilogy, set to be his sixth studio album. He has cryptically hinted that while fans have speculated about the album’s title, it will differ from what they expect. Last June, he mentioned that the album title will be revealed “soon” and clarified that the title being speculated is actually a song on the album, not the album’s name itself.
