The iconic Country Music Hall of Fame band Alabama will headline the grand opening of the Fishers Event Center this December.
Scheduled for Monday, December 9, the multi-platinum country rock group will perform alongside special guest Lee Greenwood. Tickets for the concert will be available starting at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 9, via the event center’s website.
The Fishers Event Center, set to open in November, is touted as “the largest mid-size event center in the region” and is located in the Fishers District near East 106th Street and Interstate 69.
Formed in 1969 by cousins Randy Owens, Teddy Gentry, and Jeff Cook, Alabama achieved major success in the 1980s with over two dozen No. 1 hits. The band, known for blending traditional country with folk, pop, and bluegrass influences, has sold more than 75 million records, cementing its place as one of country music’s most successful acts.
The announcement follows the release of the first wave of events scheduled at the Fishers Event Center.
