Janet Jackson has officially announced a new Las Vegas residency at Resorts World, with the first shows scheduled to begin around Christmas time.
Janet’s manager, Mo Elmasri, shared the excitement of this new venture: “We are thrilled to announce Janet’s upcoming residency at Resorts World Las Vegas. This partnership offers a unique opportunity to celebrate her legacy and deliver unforgettable performances. The energy and excitement of Las Vegas, especially around the holiday season, make it the perfect setting for this new chapter. Janet is excited to connect with her fans and bring her iconic music to life in a fresh and dynamic way.”
The residency is expected to include a special New Year’s Eve show, adding to the festive appeal of the engagement.
According to TMZ, Janet Jackson was also offered a residency in London but opted for Las Vegas due to more favorable financial terms. The new residency follows her successful 35-date Together Again Tour.
In recent interviews, Janet has reflected on her personal and professional history, including her collaboration with her late brother Michael Jackson on the 1995 hit “Scream.” Speaking to the BBC, Janet reminisced, “Mike and I wrote that song in New York, in his apartment…And just me being his little sister, always by his side, and being that support system. That’s always been my role.”
