Journey has regrettably announced the cancellation of their upcoming UK and Ireland tour, which was set to feature special guests Cheap Trick. The news came via a statement sent directly to ticketholders, citing circumstances beyond the band’s control.
“This event has been cancelled,” reads the listings on Ticketmaster UK, confirming the abrupt change of plans for the 11-date trek scheduled from October 30th to November 17th. Refunds for tickets will be issued through the respective point of purchase.
The band, currently engaged in their Summer Stadium Tour alongside Def Leppard across North America, had plans to cross the pond for their UK and Ireland tour after the conclusion of the North American leg. Despite the cancellation announcement to fans, Journey’s social media channels and official website have yet to address the situation, leaving the tour dates still listed.
The cancellation has disappointed many fans eagerly anticipating the opportunity to see Journey and Cheap Trick perform live in the UK and Ireland this autumn.
