Country music star Owen Riegling, who has recently been on a whirlwind tour across North America, is eagerly returning to his roots. The Mildmay native, who has been gaining traction in the country music scene, cherishes the opportunity to perform close to home.
On August 2, Riegling expressed his excitement ahead of a sold-out show at the Cargill Homecoming celebration. “I look forward to shows at home more than anything,” he said. “I am traveling everywhere writing songs and sharing stories about where I was raised and the people I grew up with. Coming back home and performing for those who have been a part of my journey is both surreal and thrilling.”
Following his local performance, Riegling was scheduled for another sold-out show on August 3 at Bar Down’s Saturday Night Lights Concert in Kincardine. He highlighted his enthusiasm for the back-to-back shows near his hometown, where he grew up on a farm just outside of Mildmay.
Riegling’s return to his local roots underscores his deep connection to the community that has shaped his music career.
