Universal Music Group (UMG) Nashville has officially partnered with Timbaland’s Mosley Music in a strategic move to discover and promote new talent in the country music scene. This collaboration aims to bridge cultural and musical gaps within the genre, reflecting a broader vision to redefine country music’s sound and reach.
While the specifics of the agreement remain under wraps, UMG Nashville’s CEO Cindy Mabe revealed that the partnership has been in development for about a year. The goal is to leverage Timbaland’s expertise to blend genres and amplify cultural influences within country music. Known for his transformative impact on pop and hip-hop, Timbaland’s work with artists like Bubba Sparxxx, For King + Country, and Brad Paisley has already demonstrated his ability to merge diverse musical styles.
“Timbaland is one of the most iconic producers, songwriters, and artists of the last 30 years, merging genres and magnifying cultural impact across the music industry,” Mabe stated. “We are excited to join forces in breaking barriers in country music.”
This partnership marks a significant step in expanding the boundaries of country music, introducing new sounds, and welcoming a broader range of influences into the genre.
