Texas country music artist Creed Fisher sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle accident near St. Cloud on Saturday night, requiring multiple surgeries. Fisher, 50, was slated to perform at Rollie’s Rednecks and Longnecks in Sauk Rapids that evening.
According to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of a two-motorcycle collision about three miles north of the venue shortly after 7 p.m. Fisher had been riding with two other motorcyclists, one from Sauk Rapids and another he had just met. The group was heading back to Rollie’s when they lost sight of the leading rider.
Fisher reported that the leading motorcyclist stopped suddenly in the road. As Fisher attempted to navigate around him, the leader abruptly turned left, causing a collision. Following the crash, the rider who caused the accident fled on foot.
Authorities have since identified the fleeing rider, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing. Despite efforts by deputies and local police, the individual was not located that night.
Fisher is currently recovering at St. Cloud Hospital. His team updated fans via Facebook, stating that his condition is “slowly but steadily improving” and expressing gratitude for the continued support and prayers from his fans.
