Kyrgyz rock band The Rolls will make their debut at the International Beatleweek festival in Liverpool, a major event celebrating The Beatles’ legacy. Scheduled from August 21 to August 27, 2024, the festival will feature 70 bands from around the world.
The Rolls were initially set to perform at the 2020 festival but were unable to attend due to the coronavirus pandemic. This year’s event marks their first appearance and makes them the only band from the CIS countries to participate.
Lead guitarist Daniyar Dzhumanazarov expressed the band’s excitement, saying, “This is not even a dream, but the goal of the musicians of our group, promoting the music of The Beatles, to get to this famous festival in Liverpool. The whole world knows and sings the songs of The Beatles, because they are about a person and his experiences, about love and peace. And what could be more important than this at all times?”
