Usher Kicks Off ‘Past Present Future’ Global Tour

Eight-time Grammy Award-winning artist Usher has launched his highly anticipated ‘Past Present Future’ global tour, his first in eight years, with two sold-out shows at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC.

The chart-topping R&B sensation delivered a captivating 2-hour performance, showcasing his timeless hits and dynamic dance routines. Usher’s set reaffirmed his legendary status in music over the past three decades, featuring iconic tracks such as “U Don’t Have To Call,” “Confessions,” and “Lovers and Friends,” alongside new material from his forthcoming ninth album, COMING HOME. The tour’s kickoff culminated with a high-energy rendition of his hit single “Yeah!”

On the second night of the tour, Usher was joined on stage by a lineup of local talent including D.C. natives Wale, Raheem DeVaughn, and E.U.’s Sugar Bear. Wale electrified the audience with performances of “The Matrimony” and “No Hands,” while Raheem DeVaughn added a soulful touch with his rendition of “You.” Sugar Bear rounded out the special night with an invigorating performance of “Da’ Butt.”

The ‘Past Present Future’ tour will next take Usher to Baltimore, MD, for two shows at CFG Bank Arena, followed by performances in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Chicago, and other major cities. In March, Usher will make his international debut with an eight-night run at The O2 Arena in London, and will also perform in Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin before concluding with two final shows at The O2 Arena in London on May 7, 2025.
