Nicki Minaj is facing a $5 million lawsuit from a fan, Tameer Peak, who claims that the rapper caused him significant financial and emotional damage. Peak, who alleges he was a dedicated fan for 15 years, has filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing reputational harm and distress.

According to TMZ, Peak accuses Minaj, whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, of targeting him online since 2017. Peak alleges that Minaj publicly ridiculed him, including an incident where she reportedly invited him to her hotel and embarrassed him in front of 100,000 viewers on Instagram Live.

The lawsuit also claims Minaj mistreated Peak during a 2020 Super Bowl event and later sent him a direct message referencing the incident. Additionally, Peak alleges that Minaj made derogatory comments about him during a Stationhead session on X (formerly Twitter), which he contends implied he was mentally unstable and on welfare.

Last November, Minaj had cautioned her fans against online harassment, stating on X, “Dear Barbz, be sure to never threaten anyone on my behalf. Whether on the internet or in person. Whether in jest or not. I don’t (and) never have condoned that.”
