Joe Nichols will release his 11th studio album, Honky Tonks & Country Songs, on October 25 via Quartz Hill Records. The album, produced by Mickey Jack Cones and Derek George, comprises 11 tracks that highlight Nichols’ dedication to traditional country music, reinforcing his reputation as one of Nashville’s most authentic voices.
The album features contributions from notable songwriters such as Tyler Hubbard, Josh Kear, and Jared Keim, along with collaborations with Stevie Woodward and Annie Bosko. Nichols describes his experiences performing in honky tonks as formative, emphasizing that these venues shaped his understanding of entertainment and country music’s universal appeal.
“My job is to make people feel good,” Nichols explains. “Whether through upbeat songs or poignant truths, my goal is always to bring joy. This album is designed to do just that.”
The lead single, “Bottle It Up,” precedes the album, with another track, “Doin’ Life With You,” set to release on September 6. Written by Jimmy Yeary, the song offers a heartfelt commitment from a father and husband to stand by his partner through all of life’s challenges.
