George Strait will launch his highly anticipated album Cowboys and Dreamers on Friday, September 6. However, fans eager for an early listen will have the chance to experience the album two days prior at a nationwide listening party on Wednesday, September 4.
The event will be hosted by 87 independent record stores across 36 states, promoting both the album and local businesses. A complete list of participating stores is available below.
Produced by Chuck Ainlay, Tony Brown, and Strait himself, Cowboys and Dreamers marks Strait’s first album in five years. The album features songwriting contributions from Chris Stapleton, Kendell Marvel, Jessie Jo Dillon, and long-time collaborators Dean Dillon and Jim Lauderdale. It also includes three tracks from the late Keith Gattis, a close friend of Strait, including a song co-written with Guy Clark.
