Petersfield is set to experience the authentic sound of the Prairies as award-winning Canadian country artist Jake Vaadeland & The Sturgeon River Boys take the stage at Studio@TPS this Saturday, September 7, at 7:30 pm.

Jake Vaadeland, a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, is wrapping up an extensive tour that has captivated audiences across the USA, Europe, and the UK. His music blends the sweet melodies of bluegrass with the energetic rhythms of 1950s rockabilly, promising a lively and engaging performance filled with foot-stomping tunes and relatable lyrics.

Vaadeland’s recent successes include his critically acclaimed album Retro Man…More and More, which won big at the 2024 Saskatchewan Country Music Awards. The album earned him four prestigious awards: Male Artist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Video of the Year, and Interactive Artist of the Year.

In addition to his solo achievements, Vaadeland’s collaboration with Canadian country artist Tebey on the single “Wake Me Up (the Bluegrass Rendition)” has become a fan favorite, further solidifying his reputation in the country music scene.

Audiences can expect a performance rich in “gorgeous singing, stellar band dynamics, and committed showmanship,” as praised by Next magazine. The concert promises to be more than just a musical event—it’s set to be a full-on show.

Tickets, priced at £15 for adults, are available at One Tree Books on Lavant Street, Petersfield, or online at www.thestudiotps.com.
