A highly anticipated country music festival set to take place in downtown Las Vegas next month has been unexpectedly canceled. The Giddy Up Music Festival, scheduled for October 18-20 at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, was abruptly called off by its organizers on Monday.

In an Instagram post, the festival’s organizers expressed their regret over the cancellation, though no specific reason was provided. “We understand that many of you who have purchased tickets looked at Giddy Up as the must-attend event of the season, and we are truly sorry,” the statement read. “It is not possible to overstate just how seriously we, as producers and promoters, take the decision to cancel this year’s festival.”

The Giddy Up festival, which was announced in June, had promised an exciting lineup featuring country stars such as Chase Rice, Elle King, Josh Turner, Megan Moroney, and Lauren Watkins. Fans who were eagerly looking forward to the event are now left disappointed, with no further details on what led to the festival’s sudden cancellation.
