Country music superstar Blake Shelton has officially parted ways with Warner Music Nashville, the label that has been his home since he launched his career in 2001 with the chart-topping hit “Austin.” Shelton expressed his gratitude in a heartfelt statement, acknowledging the 23-year partnership that helped him achieve his dreams.

“I moved to Nashville when I was 17 to sing country music and get a record deal. Along with the support from Warner, my dreams came true, and then some,” Shelton shared. He extended his thanks to the teams at Giant Records, Warner Bros. Records, and Warner Music Nashville, emphasizing the profound impact they had on his success.

Warner Music Nashville also released a statement, celebrating the incredible journey they shared with Shelton. “Working alongside Blake these past 23 years has been an honor and a privilege,” the label stated. “Together, we’ve celebrated a record number of hit songs, sold-out tours, and award wins. Blake’s talent is undeniable, but that wit of his, and the countless moments of laughter he’s given us remind us how fun this business of music can be.”

The label expressed their continued admiration for Shelton, adding, “While our time together has come to an end, we count ourselves amongst his biggest fans and are grateful for the ride with this true gentleman and icon.”

Throughout his tenure with Warner Music Nashville, Shelton released 11 studio albums, producing hits like “God’s Country,” “Ol’ Red,” “Honey Bee,” and “God Gave Me You.” His final album with the label, Body Language, was released in 2021 and featured the popular duet “Happy Anywhere” with his wife, Gwen Stefani.
